Sambar masala

We present a large quantity of Sambar Powder, which is recognized for its mouthwatering taste and natural aroma. The use of natural spices and ingredients has enabled us to process such quality products. These are widely used to prepare sambar.

This powder comprises a blend of long dry red chilli, coriander seeds, turmeric, split yellow pigeon peas, bengal gram, black peppercorns, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Generally used for making sambar in southern India, this powder increases the taste and aroma of the dish.


Preparation

Soak 160g of dhal in 250ml of water and pressure cook for 10 minutes for upto 3 whistles. Keep it aside. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, onions, curry leaves and green chillies. Add drumstick, cook for sometime and then add tomatoes and brinjal. Add Sambar powder, coriander leaves, 750ml of water. Cook with closed lid for 10 minutes. Add tamarind juice followed by dhal and coriander leaves. Finally add salt. Sambar is ready-to-serve.
